Don't Flip Out

from Massive Poetry by The Friendships

/

lyrics

They say that love hits you at first sight
But I don't hit back cuz I don't like to fight
Call me a pacifist, not the violent type
I don't have a fist, I'll probably die tonight

I don't feed trolls, I never engage
That's advice that's supposed to be sage
But how does one create in this dead Twitter age
Can't finish shit inside a cage

Chorus:
Don't be lonely, don't be sad
Snap out of it, cheer up, be glad
Only positivity, never get mad
And don't flip out when I don't text back

I'm busy!
Grindin' my hustle in the city
Lookin' for likes from anyone in my vicinity
Tryna build my brand, establish that identity
This is how you do it in the twenty-nine-tizzy

Friendship is important but ya gotta do the work
Livin' the struggle means ya gotta be a jerk (sometimes)
It's a wave ya gotta surf
If you don't roast battle, how you s'posed to know your worth?

(Chorus)
